Slowly, and then all at once: My first solo exhibition

To echo Hemingway: this exhibition came together slowly, and then all at once.

If you’ve been following my work for a while, you know that "slowly" is probably a bit of an understatement. This milestone has been quite a long time in the making—so long, in fact, that I'm sure some of you began to wonder if a solo show was ever even a possibility.

<Nocturne #003> - 91.4 x 91.4 cm oil on polycotton

As it turns out, the "all at once" arrived through a bit of serendipity. I had recently recommenced painting as a distraction while dealing with poor health. Not long after, the gallery happened to be looking for new work. The timing lined up, and what began as a personal outlet quickly grew into this upcoming show.

A Note on the "Opening"

Because the exhibition coincides with Vivid Sydney, the streets surrounding the gallery will be closed to traffic from 3:00 PM depending on the day. To avoid the traffic chaos, the gallery won't be holding a traditional, single opening night.

Instead, the gallery will be open for extended hours into the evening. Every day of the exhibition between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM, you are welcome to drop by to see the art in a more relaxed evening atmosphere, making it the perfect stop before or during your Vivid visit.

This collection is a body of work I’ve been quietly building toward for quite some time. It would mean a great deal to celebrate this milestone with the people who have supported and encouraged me along the way.

Whether you drop by for an evening glass of champagne or prefer to arrange a private viewing, I would love to share these pieces with you.

Thank you for your patience and your endless support.
